“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
— Carl Rogers

About Me

I’m Kylie Meyer (she/her), a licensed clinical social worker, teen therapist, and parent coach based in Pennsylvania. I specialize in working with teens navigating complex emotional experiences — including anxiety, depression, trauma responses, and emotional dysregulation — as well as with parents who are doing their best to support them through it.

My work is rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a structured, skills-based approach that helps individuals increase emotional awareness, reduce reactivity, and respond more effectively in challenging situations. I also draw from trauma-informed, behavioral, and attachment-based frameworks to ensure that the care I provide is comprehensive, flexible, and grounded in what actually helps.

My approach is collaborative, direct, and non-pathologizing. I don’t believe in surface-level advice or one-size-fits-all solutions. I focus on helping clients and families build insight into emotional patterns, strengthen coping strategies, and develop more effective ways of responding to distress — whether that shows up as shutdown, conflict, outbursts, or chronic overwhelm.

I offer individual therapy for teens and parent coaching for caregivers who are navigating emotional intensity at home. While the work may be challenging at times, it’s also deeply practical — and my goal is always to offer tools that make a meaningful difference in everyday life.
